Distributed power radio-channel based control system for local electrical trains (USAVP-S) is designed for automatic control of traction mode and electro-pneumatic braking mode of a joint local train of two local electrical trains equipped with USAVP and TTAP systems.

The system provides safe control of joint electrical train, synchronizing the work of automatic auto-driving systems of local electrical trains (USAVP) via radio channel. The system uses the radio channel of train talker for public announcements (TTPA) mentioned above.

System keeps the functionality of auto-driving system (USAVP) and of train talker for public announcements (TTPA). Also it helps to improve quality of passengers’ service by duplication amount of coaches if it is necessary.

The DP system for local electrical trains USAVP-S consists of

-              auto-driving system for local electrical trains (USAVP),

-              train talker for public announcements (TTPA),

-              special software for distributed power.

-              A significant reduction time for connect and disconnect time of a coupling electrical train due to exclusion of operations on commutation of electrical and pneumatic equipment between electrical trains at the time of their connection.

-              Reduction of operational costs due to driving a coupled electrical train by one locomotive crew.

-              Implementation of more complex algorithms for USAVP by increasing its resources due to duplicating processor of system.

-              Increasing the number of passenger seats in the train for heavy-traffic routes.
